N&R Engineering Staff
Vinod Nagpal, Ph.D., the president of the company, has a
comprehensive background in probabilistic method applications and
risk assessments. He has over 30 years of experience in engineering
and management, and has worked on NASA Glenn projects for the past 15
years.
Bill Strack, M.S., Aeromechanical engineer, worked for NASA Glenn for
37 years developing propulsion system analysis tools and performing
system studies for advanced supersonic and subsonic aircraft
applications. Developed the Systems Uncertainty Analysis (SUA)
software tool that enables legacy deterministic codes to produce
probabilistic results. Also developed calculus-of-variations
methodology for low-thrust interplanetary trajectory optimization and
associated code (NBody).
B. M. Patel, Ph. D., P.E., M.B.A. has 35 years of experience in
structural design/analysis and project management - much of this
experience has supported NASA Glenn with probabilistic analysis of
advanced concepts/technologies such as high-temperature
ceramic-matrix composite combustor liners, advanced turbine disk
concepts, and International Space Station electrical power generation
systems. Also designed micro-gravity experimental hardware.
Robert A. Aiello, M.S., worked for NASA Glenn for over 35 years and
has extensive experience in Finite Element Analysis of complex
composite structures in aerospace applications.
Santanu Chatterjee, M.S., Ph.D., has 10 years of experience in the
design of advanced control systems. Currently working on adaptive
control system architectures for next-generation aircraft gas turbine
engines.
David Moss, B.S., has 10 years of experience developing a wide
variety of complex software: Synchronous Data Link Control, Object
Oriented UML, HTML, CORBA, and Visual C++.
Peter Hoge, M.S., has worked 13 years for NASA by modeling and
analyzing experimental micro-gravity hardware and aerodynamic
research facilities. He is well-versed in NASTRAN, PATRAN, NESTEM,
IDEAS and Pro-Engineer.
Carolyn Maciag, B.S., is an education outreach consultant for NASA
Glenn. She has over 15 years of experience in research and teaching
chemistry.
Mary Neuzil is a financial analyst and has worked for 15 years in
project management with NASA.
